Rent a filter unit

You can rent mobile activated carbon filter units, on a rental or service basis, against odour and harmful gases. They can be in use within 2 to 3 days.

When does renting make sense?

Rental units are for temporary and permanent use, and they are meant for emergencies. Renting needs little investment up front. See also the exchange unit.

For dust and grease particles there are rental filters with a fan box, a section with carbon cartridges for low gas concentrations, ducting and couplings. They are used in soil remediation, asbestos removal, restaurants and catering, commercial buildings and industry, among other places.

Renting as a test

Often nobody knows which gases are in the air, or at what concentration. Then it is impossible to say in advance which medium fits and how long it will last. A gas analysis helps, but it remains a snapshot.

A test unit does give that answer. It connects to a Ø100 mm port on the outlet of your installation and draws off a side stream of 100 m³/h. Inside is a 200-litre drum with up to 150 litres of medium. A fan with speed control and a 2-metre hose bring in the air.

During the test someone smells the air at the outlet, for example once a day from the start of the third week. This shows whether the medium works and for how long. From that result we calculate how much medium the real installation needs, what its service life will be and what it costs to run.

What we need to know

For a rental unit or a test we need: the substances to remove, the concentration if you know it, the air flow rate in m³/h, the temperature and the relative humidity. Please also tell us how long you expect to need the unit.
